Dear Friends of the Climate Crisis Coalition:

The darkening clouds of the climate crisis are on us.  All corners of our fragile globe are threatened.  But don’t despair.  In my 90th year, I am finding more rays of sunshine.  Committed people everywhere are deciding that they can make a difference.  This is the hope that I have for my grandchildren, and for you.

Four years ago, my friend and neighbor, Connie Hogarth, told me about a new initiative that she was helping to start with some colleagues.  They were determined to wake up citizens everywhere to the urgent need of addressing the climate crisis.  They would take this campaign beyond the confines of the traditional environmental movement and engage a broad range of folks concerned with social, economic and environmental justice.  And in building this coalition they would urge people to get involved, especially in their own communities.

Well, CCC has persevered.  I particularly like the ways that CCC seeks to empower people to act locally.  And although I’m not what one might call a computer person, I hear wonderful things about their daily online news summary.

So, I’m getting on board to do what I can to help.  Last fall, I did a CCC Video.  Now, I ask you to help directly.  Please, read about CCC’s current work on their website (the video is there too).  Send a contribution.  Get involved!

Your check should be made out to the Climate Crisis Coalition. If you
would like a tax deduction, your contribution should be $50 or more and
made out to our fiscal sponsor, The A.J. Muste Memorial Institute

All contributions should be sent to:
