WWF says global warming already hurting people, business in Europe

Associated Press, Nov. 23, 2005.
The Switzerland-based environmental group WWF International has called for “real action” by the European Union on global warming. Stephen Singer of WWF said climate change is endangering people throughout Europe and has begun to hurt businesses. Singer and others cited examples from Scotland, England, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Rise in Gases Unmatched by a History in Ancient Ice

A study reported in the November 25, 2005, issue of Science Magazine shows that the warming and cooling of the earth over the last 650,000 years is closely related to levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and that humans have raised the amount of heat-trapping gases to levels never attained during that period.
